Accelerating the Growth of Europe’s Most Promising Agrifood Scaleups

RisingFoodStars is EIT Food’s flagship scaleup programme, designed to support high-potential agrifood ventures as they grow from early traction to European and global impact. The RisingFoodStars 2025 cohort includes 32 cutting-edge scaleups operating across three transformation areas:

Sustainable/regenerative agriculture and digital To feed a growing population sustainably, this group of RisingFoodStars is harnessing nature and digital precision to regenerate soil, boost biodiversity, reduce post-harvest losses and build a more resilient food system from the ground up

Fermentation, cellular agriculture, and functional nutrition – These scaleups are redefining food through fermentation, cellular agriculture, and plant-based innovation to meet demand for sustainable, ethical, and nutritious options.

Upcycling, valorising, and sustainable packaging solutions – These scaleups are making circularity a climate solution by turning food system waste into high-value ingredients and sustainable packaging.
